About Unicorn Imports

Unicorn Imports is new to the Seattle area, founded by Master Sommelier Nick Davis. Our vision is to bring dynamic and creative wines to Seattle from our friends around the world. Wines with personality, deliciousness, and timeless quality.

The portfolio begins with Champagne Bonnet-Ponson, led by 6th generation winemaker Cyril Bonnet. Nick and Cyril met in Seattle through a friend in 2017, and connected on a shared love for learning, nature, and amazing juice.

The Extra Brut combines a base of Chardonnay with Pinot Noir and Meunier, with a majority from a recent vintage, and the remainder from a perpetual blend of multiple years, which is drawn-off and refilled with each new harvest. Light barrel ferment and long lees aging combine to bring a delicately complex wine, accessible and perfect for any moment. Seconde Nature is racy and lean, with a swift mineral backbone, and desire for hearty fare. The wine is prepared without added sulfur, and grapes are sourced from Chamery 1er Cru.

Our first shipment arrived in August 2019, and features two of Cyril’s Champagne wines, the Extra Brut Cuvée “Perpétuelle”, and the Brut Nature “Seconde Nature”. Through the Bonnet-Ponson and Jules Bonnet labels, Cyril makes a wide range of bottlings, and these first two offers showcase his love for low-intervention technique, and creative winemaking.
